Tembele T. Yangandawele M.D.
Dr. Tembele Yangandawele is an exceptional Family Medicine physician, dedicated both to his patients and to his role as a family man. He completed his Family Medicine residency, along with a Surgical Obstetrics Fellowship, through the West Virginia University Rural Family Medicine Program. This unique and rigorous training shaped his perspective on the true breadth of family medicine—demonstrating how impactful a well-trained family physician can be, especially when caring for critically ill patients in resource-limited settings.
With over a decade of experience serving diverse populations throughout the Appalachian region, Dr. Tembele has developed a deep commitment to comprehensive, relationship-centered care. His work with patients facing complex medical needs has reinforced his belief that the foundation of excellent healthcare lies in trust, continuity, and genuine human connection.
Now rooted in Georgia, Dr. Tembele continues to build meaningful relationships within the community, fostering an environment where patients feel heard, valued, and truly cared for.
Originally from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, he carries with him a strong belief in the timeless principles of the “good old-fashioned” family doctor—one who is accessible, present, and deeply woven into the fabric of the community. A physician who celebrates victories with patients, stands beside them in hardship, and extends care far beyond the walls of the exam room.
