Tembele T. Yangandawele M.D.
Dr. Tembele Yangandawele is an exceptional Family Medicine physician who completed a Surgical Obstetrics Fellowship through the West Virginia University Rural Family Medicine Program. This unique training helped shape his career by demonstrating just how far and wide the reach of a family doctor can extend — especially when caring for very sick patients in resource-limited settings.
With over a decade of experience treating patients from diverse backgrounds and with complex medical needs throughout the Appalachian region, Dr. Tembele developed a deep appreciation for comprehensive, relationship-centered care. He has recently planted roots in Georgia, where he has thrived in building trust, connection, and meaningful relationships within the community.
Originally from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Dr. Tembele believes strongly in the ethics and values of the “good old-fashioned” family doctor — a physician who is accessible, present, and deeply integrated into the life of the community. A doctor who laughs and cries with his patients. A doctor whose care and connection extend far beyond the exam room.
